The Walking Dead World v.4.0 IS OUT!!

Hi guys! After almost already 2 years since the last version,The Walking Dead World version 4.0 is finally OUT!

Yeah! It is! It was time you say? It totally was!

Now, lets present you the thing a little as I did back in 3.0!

For those who don’t know, this world is only available in the mobile/PC game Survivalcraft from CandyRufusGames. No, I wont ever make it on Minecraft even it it would be nice for the only simple reason that it would take years of boring re-building :p

So, the World had 3 previous version + one minor update before this one, the first one only including the Prison and Hershel’s Farm. The second enlarged the map about more than twice, including as main attractions Woodbury, the hospital, a mall, the grove, more houses and cars. Third one’s big feature was Terminus, plus it added a hell lot of other stuff.

Now, the best stuff arriving in this version as you may know already, are Atlanta and Alexandria (finally!), The world’s surface is now 3 640 000 square blocks (1400 x 2600)!! It was about 2 160 000 square blocks (1200 x 1800) in 3.5. 🙂 Thats a lot more to explore, and it takes days (game days) on foot to travel from a side of the map to another!

The map now takes over 2.8 Gb of memory (originally 1.4 Gb, size doubled on the latest update of Survivalcraft 2)! Make sure you got enough space on your device for that, or else it won’t download properly!! First version was 100 mb, second one was around 250 mb, and third was near a Gb… So you got a world that is over 5 times bigger than first version and almost twice the last one! (The new game engine arriving after SC 1.29 made the world take more space).

All of this is built by hand, block by block, tree by tree, house by house, only by me, myself and I!

Thats crazy youre telling me? Hell yeah, it is! I may have lost a couple months of lifetime in that damn game! Haha! ;P

From now its been 4 years since I started building this (~ October 2013)
And I wont stop, there is still so much stuff I wanna add/complete!
The world was set in adventure in previous version. In 4.0 it is set in challenging, allowing food to rot and blocks digging without needed tools.

You also now spawn with 3 characters, Rick being the main one spawning at the hospital, Daryl being the second one spawning in the forest near Atlanta, armed with a crossbow. Third one is a female, Maggie, spawning near Hershel’s farm. After reading the infos over Rick’s room in the hospital (on the first character’s screen), you can of course choose which one you want to keep and play with and delete the others, or play in two or three players with a mate 🙂 /!\ you may need to reduce some settings in “performance” to prevent the world to crash if you use a large visibility range while playing split-screen multiplayer.
